False promises , sweet lies, money and muscle power work well in elections

On ignominious treatment of Irom Chanu Sharmila  in the hustings 

It pained me to see that  Ms Irom Sharmila who was on 17-year fast demanding repeal of AFSPA contested election in Manipur and got only 90 votes.Voters are not recognizing those who sacrifice their life for the cause of people. She lost her youth in her 17 year fast.Voters get enchanted towards those who give false promises and sweet lies. Money and muscle power work well in election. Pelf and fiefdom rule the roost.She inspired me a lot. But she lost in the mired abyss of politics.
